Share the Plate will select a recipient organization that will be featured for one month, with a 50/50 split of all non-pledge contributions from the offerings. We are always open to suggestions for Share the Plate recipients and for new members of our busy and creative team. Please contact marialtesta@gmail.com to nominate a new recipient.

To donate to our Share the Plate ministry, you can click the link below.

Or you can drop a check or cash in the offering plate, send a check to the church through the mail, or arrange a regular automatic deposit with your bank. If your check is a gift to our Share the Plate ministry, please write “share” on the memo line and it will be shared between our monthly Share the Plate recipient and the church operating budget.

May’s Share the Plate Recipient: Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper

Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper has worked for 35 years to fulfill the values of our mission. We restore the health of ecosystems. We connect people to water. We inspire economic growth and community engagement. We were formed in 1989 to address the challenges of the Buffalo River, a waterway that had been declared dead for 20 years. Our organization worked with many partners to bring the river back to life.

As we continue working on the Buffalo River, we have also turned our attention to revitalizing Scajaquada Creek while also managing over 70 construction projects, community engagement programs, and state and federal advocacy campaigns to ensure clean water for our families and future generations.

Donors and volunteers are key to our success. Our annual Spring Sweep brings out thousands to remove trash from our communities around Earth Day, and we thank the team from the Universalist Unitarian Church for your support this year!
