This afternoon’s concert will be a brief history of the Mazurka. This dance form inspired some of Chopin’s most intimate musical ideas. Chris will be contrasting selections from early to late Chopin interspersed with 3 composers also inspired to write their own: Alexander Scriabin, Claude Debussy and Karol Szymanowski.
