Music Department

Join the UUCB HoUUse Band for "Good Vibes" - a post-modern Cabaret. The UUCB HoUUse Band invites you to enter into a topsy-turvy "post-modern" world in which beloved hit songs from the 1960s through the early 2000s are performed in unexpected new guises. Come out and enjoy small plates, desserts, a cash bar, and a fun night that you're not soon to forget.

Women's Society

The Women's Society is proud to announce our February 19, 2026, luncheon topic, The Green Book Site Initiative. Emily Jarnot, Preservation Planner and Niagara Falls Liaison, will be presenting a program about one of Preservation Buffalo Niagara's projects: to document and honor the 16 remaining sites in Buffalo listed in the Green Book, a travel guide for African Americans moving north during the Great Migration. It listed hotels, restaurants, and clubs that would welcome them along the way; there were originally 106 places in Buffalo. Our luncheons run from 11 am - 1:30 pm, and include appetizers, a program, and a catered lunch. We charge $20 members, $25 non-members, and $5 for non-members for the presentation only. Please sign up on Sunday, February 8th or 15th, or mail your check to the office by February 11th.

Banned Book Club

We’ll meet on Saturday, February 28 at 10:00 am in the Parish Hall to discuss Barbara Ehrenreich’s Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America.

Barbara Ehrenreich’s 2001 New York Times best seller about America’s working class poor was number thirteen on The Guardian’s 2019 list of the one hundred best books of the twenty-first century. Meanwhile, it has been challenged for being “obscene,” “faddish,” “of no moral value,” and for being socialist and against Christian values.

Coffee and coffee cake provided, or bring your own snacks. Contact Mary Louise Hill or Sharon Walker at uucbbbc@buffalouu.org or Jess Pond at jpond@buffalouu.org for more information.
